Clergy Assignments


Upon consultation with and at the recommendation of the Clergy Personnel Board, Bishop Michael Duca has announced the following pastoral assignments in this summer of 2020:

Fr. Matthew J. Graham as Pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Denham Springs. He is relieved as Pastor of St. Jules in Belle Rose and St. Elizabeth in Paincourtville. He succeeds Fr. Frank Uter who is retiring (effective August 10)

Fr. Tomi Thomas as Administrator of St. Jules and St. Elizabeth Parishes in Belle Rose and Paincourtville (also effective August 10)

Fr. Joseph Hoang Vu as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish in St. Amant (Effective July 29)

Fr. Joshua Johnson as diocesan Vocations Director. He remains Pastor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in St. Amant (effective August 1)

Fr. Andrew J. Merrick as diocesan Director of Seminarians. He remains Pastor of Christ the King Parish and Catholic Center at LSU in Baton Rouge, but is relieved as diocesan Director of Vocations recruitment (effective August 1)

Fr. Matthew P. Lorrain is relieved as Director of Seminarians (effective August 1)

Fr. Jamin S. David as Vicar for Strategic Planning. He remains Pastor of St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Parish in Albany (effective August 1)

Fr. Paul Gros as Co-Director of The diocesan Office of Diaconate Formation. He remains Parochial Vicar of St. George Parish in Baton Rouge (effective August 1)

Deacon Danny Roussel as Deacon Intern at St. Mary of False River Parish in New Roads (effective July 13)
